The annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony features a sustainable tree: a metal cone with 80,000 energy-efficient LEDs. At the end of the countdown conducted by radio speaker Petra Loreggian, Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala presses the big red button, activating an explosion of lights and colors. Soundtrack of the event, a version of “All I Want For Christmas is You” played live by Rockin’1000 musicians.
